Beethoven only wrote one opera, but what an opera it is. Love, turmoil, drama, death, anguish, fear, strum and drang.
This production is considered one of the great performances of this epic masterpiece - Ben Heppner is one of the greatest heldentenors ever. He is truly a massive vocal pressence...and Canadian. His Florestan is second only to the great Jon Vickers, another Canadian (from Prince Albert even!)
